Description 

Chicken Marbella was first created in the 1980s. The distinctive flavours of olives, capers and prunes with tender, juicy chicken cooked on the bone have kept this dish a favourite for decades. Here at Sabato, we've updated the recipe for modern palates and created our own lighter version, while still retaining all the essential ingredients, tastes and textures.

This dish was awarded a silver medal at the Outstanding Food Producer Awards 2025, with judges describing it as a 'true chicken Marbella'.

To heat: Remove plastic film and cover with foil.

  • From frozen ~ Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes. Uncover, and cook for a further 25 minutes, or until piping hot.
  • From defrosted ~ Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes. Uncover, and cook for a further 10 minutes, or until piping hot.

Ingredients

Chicken (76%), prunes, olives, red wine, salted capers, red wine vinegar (sulphites), (antioxidant (224)), brown sugar, olive oil, garlic, parsley, herbs, salt, black pepper.

Contains sulphites.

Made in New Zealand from local and imported ingredients.
