This all butter fruit cake is made with vine fruits soaked overnight in Scotch whisky.
A deliciously dark, moist and rich cake, it includes juicy sultanas, raisins, currants, sumptuous cherries, tangy orange and lemon peel and a pinch of spice. The whisky infusion provides an extra-special taste, but it's subtle and not too strong so that the full flavour of the fruit still comes through.
It contains no artificial colours or flavours, no palm oil, and has been made to a nut-free recipe.
The cake comes presented in a keepsake vintage-style tin, exclusive to Buckingham, decorated with a specially commissioned design in embossed Victorian style. Tin measures 130mm in diameter x 80mm high.
