Made with unpasteurised milk from the Lacaune sheep, Roquefort AOP Maria Griaml is appreciated for its powerful taste, creamy texture and intense green marbling.

To appreciate the full flavour of the cheese, remove from the refrigerator an hour before eating to allow the cheese to come to room temperature.

Maria Grimal, a demanding and energetic woman, devoted her life to the expansion of the Aveyron family business, founded in 1865 by her father, Auguste Grimal, in Roquefort-sur-Soulzon. Nicknamed "La Demoiselle", Maria was the only woman to make her mark in the masculine world of Roquefort at the end of the 19th century.

For Maria Grimal, preserving the traditional values of Roquefort was essential. She attached great importance to the quality of the milk, in the knowledge that it gives this cheese its unique aromas. Roquefort AOP Maria Grimal continues to be produced at the Fromagerie de Requista and matured in their own cellar.

A visionary, Maria Grimal has inspired generations of cheesemakers. Roquefort Maria Grimal remains a cheese for connoisseurs, paying homage to a woman of character and taste.
